February 7 marks the return of the popular Faculty Noontime Talks hosted by Pollak Library. Our first talk will be presented by R. Douglas Manning, titled “Southern California is our Classroom: Interaction of Academia & The Sport Industry.” This presentation will provide an overview of the academic and career opportunities available in the sport industry, specifically for students and professionals in Southern California.
Examples of applied and experiential learning opportunities, as well as Manning’s recent scholarship on the topic of branding in sport will also be explored.
