Professor Emeritus of Nursing Elected to Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education

Cindy Greenberg, Cal State Fullerton professor emeritus of nursing, was elected to the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education’s Board of Commissioners.

Greenberg joined CSUF in 1999 as a tenure-track assistant professor in the nursing department. She was promoted to associate professor with tenure in 2005 and professor in 2010. Transitioning into leadership roles, Greenberg served as department chair and director of the School of Nursing prior to becoming associate dean in 2015. She also served as interim dean of the College of Health and Human Development.

Academically, Greenberg has published research on child and family health, including a co-authored article titled “When Pandemics Collide: The Impact of COVID-19 on Childhood Obesity,” which was featured in the Journal of Pediatric Nursing.

Serving on the Board of Commissioners, Greenberg will work with the organization to promote the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate and residency/fellowship programs in nursing.
