
Marlén Ríos-Hernández, Cal State Fullerton assistant professor of Chicana and Chicano studies, is hosting the third biennial PunkCon on campus Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
PunkCon is a one-day conference celebrating the diversity of punk artists, musicians, academics, vendors, activists and scholars. This year’s theme is: “Do They Owe Us a Living?: Punk, Nihilism and Going Analog in the End of Times.” The event is one part academic conference with panel discussions and one part punk show with local talent and a drag artist.
