Writing Across the Curriculum Program Launches ChatGPT/LLM Teaching Resources

Share This:

CSUF’s Writing Across the Curriculum Program (WAC) is excited to announce a new accessible, open-enrollment Canvas site designed to help faculty using Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT to support students’ critical thinking and learning.  A dedicated team representing eight CSUF colleges, DEI, IT, and OIEP worked tirelessly through June 2023 to build this 100% asynchronous resource.

Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT have recently prompted faculty to reconsider their pedagogy and assessment methods.  The WAC Program’s new Canvas site will support faculty as they adapt to AI’s presence in higher education with both ready-to-use resources and a growing community dedicated to navigating these changes.

Features:

  • Smart syllabus recommendations
  • Ready-to-use class activities
  • Curated readings, videos, and podcasts
  • Updated A.I. Citation Norms

To access the Canvas site, CSUF faculty, staff, and administrators will use the self-enrollment link they receive in special FDC emails beginning July 5.

Faculty with questions can contact Leslie Bruce, Faculty Fellow for WAC, at wac@fullerton.edu.
