Cal State Fullerton’s Online Bachelor’s Degree Completion Programs, offered through CSUF Extension, provide working professionals and students with a flexible way to complete their degree. Ideal for those who have completed an associate degree, or the equivalent, and are currently balancing jobs, family and other commitments, the program allows students to take classes that fit within their busy schedules.
The online format is ideal for individuals like Angela Dill, a mother and full-time employee who participated in the online bachelor’s degree in humanities and social sciences program. Thanks to the program’s flexibility, Dill was able to manage her career and family responsibilities while pursuing a degree at her own pace.
“I like that the classes are asynchronous, so whenever I have time to do my work, I have time to do it,” said Dill. “I’m not set in the middle of my workday trying to figure out how to also take a class.”
Asynchronous learning puts students in control. They may log in to complete their assignments at their own time prior to the deadline. There is no need to log in for class at a specific time.
Dill also took advantage of the unique program opportunities by studying abroad in Bali, Indonesia, in summer 2022. Through CSUF Study Abroad and Global Engagement, she participated in a program with the Bali Institute, where she explored Balinese culture, history and environmental challenges while earning academic credit.
“I never thought I could study abroad while working full time and raising a family, but the program made it possible. The flexibility of online courses gave me the freedom to explore an amazing opportunity like studying in Bali,” said Dill.
Dill’s story showcases how CSUF’s Online Bachelor’s Degree Completion Programs not only help students achieve academic goals in a convenient way, but also offer opportunities for enriching global experiences.
