Cal State Fullerton’s Neurocognitive Aging and Analytics Research Education program will host three separate training workshop series for students eager to delve into data analytics, aging and Alzheimer’s Disease research. Building on last year’s success, these workshop series will take place throughout February, March and April, each spotlighting unique data analysis techniques and platforms.
In February, participants explored the National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center platform, mastering skills in data cleaning, filtering, analysis and machine learning. March’s session will delve into the Global Alzheimer’s Association Interactive Network, focusing on regressions, meta-analyses and data trends. April will spotlight the All of Us research program, offering insights into the researcher workbench and predictive modeling. Students will have opportunities to gain data analysis skills and dive into new avenues for data visualization and analyses via research platforms.
Each data workshop series offers a stipend upon completion and post-evaluation. Registration deadlines are one week before each series begins. Register online by April 8 for the April session.
These workshops present an invaluable opportunity for students to integrate cutting-edge data analysis into their theses or projects. Feedback from last year’s attendees highlighted high satisfaction and had an overall great research experience working with the data sets.
