Share This:

Cal State Fullerton alum and visual artist Juan Gomez co-curated an art exhibition currently on view at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art, a gallery in the downtown arts district of Santa Ana. He worked with artist Maribel Nuño Navarro to curate “Original Sources,” which features 11 contemporary Southern California artists from varied backgrounds who use a range of media and techniques. Each of the artists explores ways of maintaining meaningful connections to their individual ancestral origins through their art.

The opening reception for the exhibition was held on Nov. 2, and will be followed by an Artist Ted Talk from Joanna Roche, CSUF professor of art, on Nov. 16 from 3-6 p.m. The exhibition will continue through Nov. 30, and is free for all attendees.

The “Original Sources” artists include Gomez, Navarro, Chris Maya, Christopher A. Velasco, Dino Perez, Em Hernandez, Juan-Carlos Perez, Kiyomi Fukui Nannery, Priscilla Chavez Scott, Sara Hassan Khani and Blue Omari.
