Cal State Fullerton Extension recently released its 2023-24 Annual Impact Report. The CSUF Extension team creates and administers non-state-funded programs for every stage of life. Whether someone aims to advance their role within an organization, embark on a new career path or focus on professional development, Extension offers programs to help students meet their academic and professional goals.
From online degree completion programs to flexible graduate degrees and professional development microcredential courses and certificates, Extension offers learning options that span various industries and goals. Programs cover the fields of business, engineering, technology, health care, criminal justice and legal, education, and humanities.
One key aspect of Extension’s offerings is flexibility. Many programs are available to complete virtually, allowing students the opportunity to learn at their own pace. Every individual has different life circumstances. By tailoring learning opportunities to fit into the unique and busy lives of students, CSUF Extension ensures that education is accessible for all.
The Extension office also welcomed four new staff members and three student assistants to the team. Several team members celebrated work milestones ranging from five to 30 years of service. It’s been a year of growth, change and excitement for what’s to come next year.
The team is grateful for the numerous partnerships throughout the region. From organizations that offer tuition reimbursement and support staff professional development to those that create custom internal training opportunities, Extension values collaboration and remains committed to expanding program offerings and fostering relationships with campus partners and workforce experts.
“As an organization, the past year started out much differently than it ended, but with a dedicated team of caring professionals, CSUF Extension will continue to adapt and grow. I often talk about our staff as our greatest asset, and I want to take time to recognize some of them and their outstanding achievements,” said Karen McKinley, executive director of Extension, in her impact report welcome message.
