Veggiepalooza – Live and in-person this April!

Share This:

Fullerton Arboretum’s Veggiepalooza returns to in-person this April 15-16!

Veggiepalooza is a fun event where you can purchase an array of vegetable plants and curate your own vegetable garden. The next event in April is the Monster Tomato & Pepper Sale! There will be over 200 varieties of plants to choose from, including heirloom tomatoes, sweet, mild & hot peppers, and varietal veggies.

Horticulturalist Amy Bulone passionately offered, “This spring, get your hands dirty! We have thousands of veggie and herb seedlings, each grown right here at Fullerton Arboretum. Your purchase supports our world-renown botanical collection. So get planting–your garden and our garden will thank you.”

As the weather warms up for spring, these vegetables make great ingredients for preparing a light dish, salsa, refreshing salad, or a flavorful sandwich.

Looking to spice up your next meal? We have cilantro, mint, oregano, onions, tomatillos and more! You will see growth in as little as 30-60 days and begin preparing some fresh homemade meals utilizing the fruits of your labor.

Enjoy our early spring plant sale to beautify your landscape, including many California natives. There are numerous drought-tolerant plants, such as shrubs, trees, cacti, and vines to choose from that will flourish in your yards. For new gardeners, our list provides growth rate, amount of sun exposure needed, how often to water, and a description.

Mandy, a Fullerton Arboretum member from La Habra Heights, visited our last in-person sale and excitedly shared, “I’m not much of a gardener, but I love picking up plants to put in my yard. The staff was super helpful, answering my questions and making recommendations on plants that may thrive together.”

Arboretum members receive priority access to the Veggiepalooza sale, as well as a 10% discount on all purchases.

Dates and Times:

  • Friday, April 15, 12 p.m.-5 p.m.: Fullerton Arboretum members* and Titan Card holders only
  • Saturday, April 16, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.: Open to the public
