Cherlyn Converse: Teaching Mathematics for 40 Years
When Cherlyn Converse arrived to study mathematics at Cal State Fullerton, she was one of only a handful of female students in her classes. for 40 years, she has been at the head of the class — as an educator.

Titans Sweep Civil Engineering Competition With Fourth National Win
A team of civil engineering students has won the 2019 “GeoWall” competition at the American Society of Civil Engineers’ Geo-Congress conference in Philadelphia — the fourth time a Cal State Fullerton team has won the national title.

Computer Science Students Learn to Expose Threats to Prevent Cyberattacks
A team of Cal State Fullerton cybersecurity students participated in the Technical Security Competition at Cal Poly Pomona and earned second place for their skills to hack a fictitious company’s computer infrastructure to expose potential vulnerabilities.

Anthropologist Granted Fulbright Award to Study Preschool Children in Norway
Nga Nguyen, a Cal State Fullerton professor of anthropology, has received a Fulbright Scholarship to examine how time spent in nature affects Norwegian children’s play behavior and microbial diversity.
