Career changes can happen at any stage in someone’s academic or professional career. For some individuals, they may decide to take a different path after earning their bachelor’s degree. This can be a daunting task, especially when it comes to transitioning to the health care field.
Cal State Fullerton University Extension helps with this transition through its Pre-Health Postbaccalaureate program. This program helps students with little to no science background become competitive applicants for health care school in a supportive, cohort-based environment.
Over the past year, University Extension helped students prepare for medical, dental, veterinary, optometry, physician assistant and pharmacy programs. There are success stories to read about students from all walks of life, from Evan Chang who was accepted into a top dental school to Manpreet Luthra who now attends the University of South Carolina School of Medicine-Columbia.
