  Xiaoying Xie, CSUF professor of finance, was among three authors recognized with the Harold D. Skipper Award for best paper at the Third World Risk and Insurance Economics Congress held in August in Munich.

  Cal State Fullerton’s Epsilon Eta chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, has won the 2015 Best Chapter Award for the third year in a row.

  Gregory Chris Brown, associate professor of criminal justice, was recognized by the city of Los Angeles for his work to combat gang violence.

• CSU Names 23 Trustee Scholars

  The California State University has selected 23 students who have demonstrated superior academic and personal achievement to receive the 2015 CSU Trustees’ Award for Outstanding Achievement. Cal State Fullerton’s honoree is Todd Callahan.

• Meyer Appointed to NSF Post

  Christopher R. Meyer, chair and professor of chemistry and biochemistry, will serve as a program director in the National Science Foundation’s Division of Biological Infrastructure.
