While the university continues to explore options for students to walk across the commencement stage in the future, a virtual celebration is being planned to honor graduates in June.
Cal State Fullerton plant biologist H. Jochen Schenk and his international collaborators found why plants can’t survive and function in the driest of soils, including the physical limits to the amount of suction plants can produce to move water up to their leaves. The researchers describe their findings in a new peer-reviewed study published April 27 in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
Higher education leader Tonantzin Oseguera has been appointed to serve as Cal State Fullerton’s next vice president for student affairs, effective July 1. Oseguera, who joined the university in 2013, was selected for the top post following a national search.
