As the CSU celebrated the Class of 3 Million in 2014-15, preliminary data indicates an overall record-breaking increase in charitable gifts, including a spike of 11,000 additional alumni donors. While final data will be available in January, this marks the fourth consecutive year the university has seen increases in philanthropic giving.

The assistant professor of management studied convergence and wrote his doctoral dissertation on the competitive consequences of firms’ alliance experience and attention while completing his doctorate degree at the University of Pittsburgh.

Takenori Aso, associate professor emeritus of sociology, died Oct. 1. Aso taught at Cal State Fullerton for more than 30 years.
