To further his research on immigrant students, Julián Jefferies, assistant professor of literacy and reading education, has been selected as a Fulbright Scholar. Mathematics educator Armando M. Martinez-Cruz is the recipient of the Outstanding Latino/a Faculty in Higher Education Award from the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education.
Biochemistry major Miguel Tellez has received a CSU award for his promising research in the area of women’s health. After graduation in May, he’s headed to Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
