Elementary school counselor and education doctoral candidate Karla I. Aguirre is the recipient of two Cal State Fullerton student awards: the Extension and International Programs Award and the Outstanding Graduate Student Award. She will participate in the university’s commencement ceremony for the College of Education at 5 p.m. Friday, May 17.
Graduating biological science major Nathan Bui is the 2019 recipient of the Outstanding Senior Award from Cal State Fullerton’s Alumni Association. Bui, who is graduating with top honors on May 18, plans to apply to medical schools to become an anesthesiologist.
Fifty-seven faculty members have been awarded sabbatical leaves for projects ranging from books and publications, artwork creation, research and classroom development.
